The abstract:<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>On 10-12 February 2016, CAIDA hosted the eighth Workshop<br \/>\non Active Internet Measurements (AIMS-8) as part of our series of<br \/>\nInternet Statistics and Metrics Analysis (ISMA) workshops. This<br \/>\nworkshop series provides a forum for stakeholders in Internet active<br \/>\nmeasurement projects to communicate their interests and concerns,<br \/>\nand explore cooperative approaches to maximizing the collective<br \/>\nbenefit of deployed infrastructure and gathered measurements.<br \/>\nDiscussion topics included: infrastructure development status<br \/>\nand plans; experimental design, execution, and cross-validation;<br \/>\nchallenges to incentivize hosting, sharing, and using measurement<br \/>\ninfrastructure; data access, sharing, and analytics; and challenges<br \/>\nof emerging high bandwidth network measurement infrastructure.<br \/>\nOther recurrent topics included paths toward increased interoperability<br \/>\nand cooperative use of infrastructures, and ethical frameworks<br \/>\nto support active Internet measurement.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>See the full workshop report at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.caida.org\/publications\/papers\/2016\/aims2016_report\/\">http:\/\/www.caida.org\/publications\/papers\/2016\/aims2016_report\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Slides from  workshop presentations are available at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.caida.org\/workshops\/aims\/1602\/\">http:\/\/www.caida.org\/workshops\/aims\/1602\/<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The final report for our 8th Workshop on Active Internet Measurements (AIMS-8) is available for viewing.
